Casino-Style Evening Flagship

Our flagship evening and the format most clients book first. Three baize tables - roulette, blackjack and poker - run as themed activities by croupier-hosts who teach the rules at the table, so nobody needs to arrive knowing them. Chips are symbolic props: they are not sold, cannot be topped up and cannot be exchanged for anything. The evening is built around moving between tables, talking, and a short finish on the microphone.

What is included

  • roulette table 2.4 x 1.2 m with wheel, layout and rake
  • blackjack table for 7 seated players
  • poker table for 9 seated players
  • 3 croupier-hosts at the tables for the full 4 hours
  • 1 event coordinator from set-up to pack-down
  • 600 symbolic chips in 4 colours, no denominations printed
  • 12 decks of cards, 2 shufflers, 3 dealer shoes
  • photo wall 3 x 2 m with a printed backdrop and 2 LED panels
  • table dressing: 3 cloth runners, 6 brass lanterns, 2 floor plants
  • 10 LED uplights on the walls, 4 warm spots over the tables
  • DJ with a 2 x 400 W PA, 2 microphones and a 4-hour set
  • printed table cards with the rules of each activity

The venue needs

From 160 m2 of clear floor for 80 guests, 3 double power outlets within 15 m of the tables, ground-floor or lift access for a 2.4 m table, and a loading door at least 90 cm wide.

Adaptable within the price

Table mix (for example two roulette tables instead of poker), backdrop artwork from your own files, the finish on the microphone, and the balance of seated and standing space.

Special Agent Evening

A black-tie evening with a thin storyline: guests collect a briefing on arrival, move through two tables and three task points, and the host closes the file at the end. 03

Chip Tournament Night

A themed tournament across poker and blackjack tables for a smaller group. Everyone starts with the same number of prop chips, play runs in short rounds and the host keeps a running board on a flipchart. There are no stakes, no buy-ins and nothing to win beyond a printed certificate, which keeps the whole thing light.

Two-Table Lounge

Which two tables are used, the start time inside your dinner, and whether the photo corner is dressed or plain.

On the day

How a tables & black tie event runs.

  1. 1

Croupier-hosts open the tables as guests arrive and teach each table in groups of three or four, using rule cards that stay on the baize all evening.

  2. 2

The open part of the evening: all tables running at once, guests moving at their own pace, music up, photo corner in use.

  3. 3

A quiet gap of fifteen to twenty minutes for your speeches, with the tables paused rather than shut.

  4. 4

A short close on the microphone, props counted back into our cases, and pack-down once your guests have gone.

Who is in the room

One croupier-host per table for the whole programme, a compere for the announcements, a DJ, and a coordinator who holds the run sheet. Croupier-hosts teach first and deal second - their job is to keep a table approachable, not to run a fast game.

Before you book a venue

What the room or the site needs.

  • Clear floor from 70 m2 for two tables and from 160 m2 for three, measured without the catering area.
  • Ground-floor or lift access, and a loading door at least 90 cm wide: the roulette table is 2.4 m long.
  • 2 to 3 double power outlets within 15 m of the tables.
  • Venue furniture, bathrooms and cloakroom, plus somewhere to park a van during set-up.
  • Venue permission for open flame, or we bring LED candles instead.

Set-up and pack-down

Set-up takes up to 3 hours before the event, pack-down up to 1-2 hours after it. That time is included in the price, but it is additional to the programme hours your guests see, so check it against your venue hire.

Our responsible entertainment rules

Questions we get asked

Questions about this category.

Are the tables gambling?

No. The tables are themed activities. Chips are symbolic props with no denomination, they are not sold or topped up, they cannot be staked and they cannot be exchanged for money, vouchers, goods or prizes of value. There are no cash winnings and no online play. The programme is not gambling within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2003, and admission is 20+.

How many croupier-hosts come with the tables?

One per table, for the full programme. Three tables means three croupier-hosts plus a coordinator; the two-table lounge comes with two. They teach, run the table and keep the pace - they are hosts first and dealers second.

Can we have tables at a dinner rather than a standing evening?

Yes. The two-table lounge is built for exactly that: it runs for three hours and can open after the main course, so the tables become the second half of the evening rather than the whole of it.

What if some guests do not want to play?

Perfectly normal, and the room is planned for it. Taking part is voluntary, the photo corner and the music work on their own, and the tables are laid out so that watching from nearby is comfortable rather than awkward.

Shall we check your date?

Send us the date, the town and roughly how many guests. We will tell you whether the date is free and what the package would cost, in writing. An enquiry does not reserve a date.
